The activities that are a hit for a 6- to 8-year-old boy’s birthday.

Fancy throwing a great birthday party for your little guy and his gang of friends, but you’re not quite sure what to plan?

We’ve put together a few ideas for you that are sure to hit the mark and delight the whole crew!

1.    The game “Pictionary”: it’s the board game where you have to guess words by drawing them. Why not adapt it for a birthday party?

2.    A giant toy-car track: With a simple roll of tape (colored sticky tape), make a road on the floor for the toy cars. They can spend hours playing on this “homemade” circuit.

3.    A popcorn race: popcorn, straws… now you’re all set to organize a popcorn race. Using a straw, the kids have to blow and move their popcorn to the finish line. To make the game a bit harder, make a road on the floor with strips of tape—they won’t be allowed to go outside it.

4.    Balloon ping-pong: Just staple large wooden popsicle sticks to paper plates. Start with a quick, easy craft activity, even for kids aged 3–5. And then let off steam! Without breaking anything in the house...

5.    An obstacle course: indoors or outdoors

6.    An activity to book: Games, workshops, magic shows, medieval tournaments, spell-casting lessons with a princess, treasure hunts… there’s something for everyone.

8.    A treasure hunt: it can be as simple as looking for sweets hidden in the garden, or a real treasure hunt with clues to find, rebuses, riddles, puzzles to solve to find the hidden treasure. It can also involve different challenges, with each successful challenge earning a piece of a map (cut into 5 or 6 large pieces) that shows how to reach the treasure (the treasure can be little bags of sweets that the kids can take home).
