Should I specify on my invitation where my baby or wedding gift list is registered?

Now that’s an excellent question—one that sparks plenty of debate when it comes time to prepare your wedding or birth announcement.

The two events are a bit different when it comes to making that decision.

In fact, when it comes to a wedding, the parents of the future newlyweds very often have more than just a say in the matter. And since many parents are old-fashioned, it’s still seen as inappropriate to put your gift list directly on your announcement. At least, that’s what everyone thinks.

Kadolog was born out of this new wave of freedom—to truly enjoy your gifts and, above all, to be able to share your list easily. And our survey shows it: contrary to what you’ll often see in the many discussions on dedicated forums, almost two thirds of our users (who responded) include the link to their wedding registry on their wedding announcement.

As for baby registries, the trend is even stronger: people are opting for transparency and no longer hesitate to include the direct link to the baby registry on the announcement.

So, were you asking yourself the same question too? Know that sharing your gift list is becoming less and less of a sensitive topic. The vast majority of parents-to-be or engaged couples share their gift list with family and friends directly via their announcement. Sharing a baby or wedding registry also makes life easier for your loved ones, who will know exactly what would make you happy.

What do you think? Do these figures change your point of view? Surprised?
